The FMIC has the function to lower the charge-air temperature. A lower temperature leads to less thermal engine stress and more dense air. This results in more output (10-25%) and an improved reliability of engine and turbo.
The standard intercooler is placed far left in the engine bay. At this position it lacks enough supply of fresh air. Especially on chipped engines the charge temperature is much higher than standard. In that case a more effective intercooler will directly lead to more power.
This intercooler kit fills this need completely with a 80% larger cooling area and a full access of cooling air because of the front central position.
The kit contains a aluminium bar and plate type intercooler, aluminium bend pipes, high quality silicone couplers and t-bolt clamps. The tubing goes all the way from turbocharger to intake manifold.
